Job: Machinist Job Type: Full Time Required Experience: Machinist, 5 Years

Required Education: High School or Equivalent & Completed Apprenticeship Preferred

Individual must have extensive knowledge of CNC Lathes, CNC Horizontal Mills, Manual Lathes, CNC Mills Manual Mills and preferred specific knowledge of HAAS EC1600. Must be able to program at the machine and must be familiar with g-codes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Studies drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces.*
Measures, marks and scribes dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent machine.*
Selects, aligns and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachment accessories and material on machines such as grinders and lathes.*
Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, as well as the depth and angle of the cut.*
Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.*
Verifies conformance of finished work piece to the specifications by using precision measuring instruments.*
Complies with company policies and procedures with special attention to safety regulations.
Experience with Haas EC1600

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

Work 40-55 hours per week
Lift/and or move up to 50 pounds
Walk or stand for several hours at a time
Wear safety glasses
Wear steel toe boots (ASTM Standards)
Use hearing protection when required

Hours:

Core Hours – 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM - Must be willing to work overtime.

Pay: TBD
